Here is my extinct animal from phil and matts session. The animal I chose was the monotreme animal 7. Because the animal has reptile like characteristics I went on to create a very unique drawing. It has the body of a lizard, the head of a echidnas and the beak from a platypus. I feel that it was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed creating it. From the drawing I scanned it into illustrator and filled in the outline of the creature with white, the creature itself orange and the background black. Around the animal I have added the key characteristics. I have named my weird looking creature Liztreme, Liz... for lizard and ...treme for monotreme. Weirdly enough I feel that my animal looks kind of real, a newly discovered mammal-like-lizard.
